most leaves have the upper surface more green& shiny than the lower one

The upper surface of the leaf is dark green colour and shiny than the lower surface because of the presence of more palisade cells and thick cuticle layer. The palisade cells have a lot of extra chloroplasts to help with photosynthesis that gives dark green colour to upper surface and thick cuticle layer makes it shiny.

most have the upper surface more green and Shiny because the upper surface of the leaves have stomatal pores and they do photosynthesis
