The leaves are more green on the upper surface because of the presence of a large number of chloroplasts.

Answer :
Most leaves have upper surface more green than lower one because the leaves contain more chlorophyll/ chloroplast on the leaf surface.
The shine on upper surface of leaf is attributed by the presence of thick cuticle.
