Most mothers do the thankless job of running  homes: they multitask to get hot food on the table, they keep the house sparkling clean and welcome their husbands and children home. Instead of being appreciated, they are often taken for granted and treated like servants. Mrs. Pearson was one such timid mother, constantly ordered around by her husband and children. She gets no respect from her family members, has no time to rest or enjoy. She slaves around the house just to keep everyone happy and avoid unpleasantness.
