Hey,
The north west monsoon winds blow during the winter season .They blow from land to sea. As they pass over the Bay of Bengal ,they pick up the moisture n cause rains in the coromandel coast in Tamil Nadu and by the time they reach most parts of the country there capacity to retain moisture decreases.
Hence, most of the India remains dry during the north east monsoons.
Hope this helps you buddy!!
