Most of the power worldwide is generated by burning coal . Why should we shift to using water or wind to genarate power

when we use coal for generating electricity we have to burn and it produces heat and carbon dioxide heat is used to boil water to produce steam the steam is then fired on the blades of turbine by which turbine starts rotating and the it also rotates the generator which produces electricity but carbon dioxide produced in this process is harmful for the environment. It depletes the ozone layer and also cause global warming. That is why have to shift to wind and water to generate power in these method carbon dioxide and other harmful gases are not produced so they are also environment friendly.
