You can either use the following conversation or develop similar one using ideas from it:
Student A: Do you know our classmate, Sushma has been very depressed these days?
Student B: Why what happened? Is it because of her weak eyesight or any other reason?
Student A: Yes, you got it right. She has been really finding it very hard to study in the class because of this problem. She can’t see the words written on the board clearly.
Student B: How strange! She should start wearing spectacles immediately. Rather she must have started wearing them long ago!
Student A: I asked her why she has not been wearing the spectacles. Do you know what she replied?
Student B: I guess she feels wearing specs will somehow influence her looks. Am I right?
Student A: Exactly! She confided to me the very same thing! She feels other class students will make fun of her. I tried to reason with her, but then the bell was rung.
Student B: I think we must go to her house and talk to her and her parents; otherwise she will lose both the eyesight and her studies.
Student A: What can we do to help her?
Student B: There are many things we can do. First of all we must talk to her and tell her other alternatives. For example, she can wear contact lenses. No one will come to know she wears them, and her problem will be solved.
Student A: We can also tell about the LASIK laser treatment for her eyes. It is a very effective in improving vision.
Student A: Oh really! We must talk to our class teacher. She can also persuade to have her eyes treated or use alternative methods to improve her eyesight.
Student B: Thirdly we will also talk to her parents to take the matter of her poor vision seriously.
Student A: Wow! I think it will solve the problem. Let’s get cracking then. Let’s go to Sushma first.
