Dear diary,
Its been a week since mommy has been in the hospital. My father takes me to see her in the evenings, everyday. l was much scared of my father since I has been very young. He would often yell at me for not listening to him, when I would be told to do something. Similarly, at times he would instruct me what to do and what not to do, whether it may be my clothes, my eating habits, what subjects to choose. Everything needed to go his way.
When mommy got ill grandmother had to take care of her because father would work and then take care of the house. As a result,I had to spend more time with my father.
Gradually I have started to realize that my father isn't rude. He just has a nature of liking things to be done a certain way. These past few days have been quite eye opening for me. I always thought that he didn't care for me but I have seen another side of him now. He truly cares for my mother. He loves us both. I regret for misunderstanding him. I believe this time will help our relationship grow.
I must go and help him with preparing dinner now.
