Mother is 25 year older than her son.Find son's age if after 8 years ratio of son's age to mother's age will be 4:9

Anonymous: let x be the mother s age while y be the son s age. we have
x = y + 25. on the other hand (y + 8) /( x + 8) = 4/9 , then (y + 8) /(y + 33) = 4/9 and therefore 9*(y + 8) = 4*(y + 33) which means that 9*y + 72 = 4*y + 132 and thus 5*x = 60 and finally y = 60/5 = 12. the boy is 12 years old and the mothers is 37 years oss.

⭕️Let present age of son be X years.

⭕️and mother be = (X+25) yrs.

⭕️After 8 years age of son= (X+8) yrs.

⭕️and mother's = (X+25+8) = (X+33) yrs.

Now ;

⇒ X+ 8 / X + 33 = 4/9

⇒ 9 ( X + 8 ) = 4 ( X + 33 )

⇒ 9X + 72 = 4X + 132

⇒ 9X - 4X = 132 - 72

⇒ 5X = 60

∴ X = 60/5

⇒∴ X = 12 yrs.

⭕️∴ Present age of son = X = 12 Years.

⭕️And mother = X + 25 = 12 + 25 = 37 years.

➡️Ratio will be=4:9

➡️Boy age=12 years
➡️Mother age=12+25=37 years
