Let x be the age of the son

mother's age= 25+x

After 6 years

son's age= x+6

mother's age= 25+x+6= 31+x

As per question,

x+6 = 4

31+x 9

9(x+6)= 4(31+x)

9x+54= 124+4x

9x-4x= 124-54

5x= 70

x= 70/5

= 14

son's age= 14 years

mother's age= 25+x= 25+14= 39
