Given:-

  • Mother's age is 6 times Amal's age And grandmother's age is twice the mother's age.
  • After 5 years, the sum of their ages will be equal to 110 years

To find :-

  • Their present ages.

Solution :-

Let,

Amal's age be X years

Then,

Mother's age will be 6x years .

And grandmother's age will be 12x years.

After 5 years :-

Mother's age = 6x+5 years

Amal's age = x+5 years

Grandmother's age = 12+5 years

Now,

According to the question :-

\sf\implies{6x + 5  + x + 5 + 12x + 5 = 110}

\sf\implies{19x + 15 = 110}

\sf\implies{19x = 110 - 15}

\sf\implies{19x = 95}

\sf\implies{x =  \frac{95}{19} }

\sf\implies{x = 5}

Now,

since X = 5

Amal's age = 5 years

Mother's age = 6x = (6×5) = 30 years

And grandmother's age = 12x =(12×5) = 60 years
