Answer:

Let the son's age now be x years.

Then, Mother's age now =3x years.

After 15 years, son's age =(x+15) years

Mother's age =(3x+15) years

Given, (3x+15)=2(x+15)

⇒3x+15=2x+30

⇒3x−2x=30−15

⇒x=15

∴ Son's age now =15 yrs. and Mother's age now =3×15=45 yrs.
