Mother wants to divide rs 36 between her daughters shreya and bhumika in the ratio of their ages. if age of shreya is 15 years and age of bhumika is 12 years, find how much shreya and bhumika will get?

Given:

Total money= 36

Bhumika's age= 12

Shreya's age= 15

Solution:

ATQ-

the ratio of  shreya's age(15) to bhumika's age(12)  is 4/5

thus, 36 will be divided as 4x and 5x ; where x is constant.

total money is 36;

⇒ 4x+5x=36

⇒ 9x= 36

⇒ x=4

Thus the money that shreya and bhumika will get is 20 and 16 respectively!!
