Mrs pearson is very badly treated by her family. In spite of all these she loves the. Unconditionally. They take her for granted. They never value her presence. Her children, doris and cyril, are both spoilt. They are very selfish and never think of their mother. They do not give respect to her which she deserves. Her husband is about fifty. He solemn, pompous and slow moving. His male ego suffers a jolt when he comes to know that his wife has not kept tea ready for him. Most of the time, he spends his time at the club and has very little time for his wife.
