Motion of an object can be defined as the change is position of an object with respect to time. Depending on the distance travelled in a particular time , motion can be of two types – Slow motion and Fast motion. Further motion can be categorized in to different ways like rectilinear, curvilinear, oscillatory, vibratory and rotatory motions. Look at the given below distance-time graph.

(a) What type of motion is described in this graph?

(b) What is the distance travelled by the object in 12 s?

(c) Calculate the average speed of the object?

(d) What happens to the speed of the object during 12 th and 20 th seconds.
