ANSWER:-

Given:

Motor vehicle attains 18km/h to 36km/h in 5 minutes. The vehicle is under uniform acceleration.

To find:

Find its acceleration & distance travelled.

Solution:

Given,

Initial velocity, (u)= 18km/h

 =  >  \frac{18 \times 1000m}  {3600s}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{10}{2} m \: s \\  \\  =  > 5m/s

&

Final velocity, (v)= 36km/h

 =  >  \frac{36 \times 1000m}{3600s}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1000}{100} m \: s \\  \\  =  > 10 m / s

Time = 5minutes

Convert second;

1min. = 60second

5 min.= 5×60 second

=) 300seconds

Now,

Acceleration:

Using the first equation of motion;

 =  > a =  \frac{v - u}{t}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{10 - 5}{300}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5}{300}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{60}m /{s}^{2}

And,

Distance travelled by the motor vehicle:

Using the second equation of motion;

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2}  {at}^{2}  \\  \\  =  > 5 \times 300 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{60}  \times 300 \times 300 \\  \\  =  > 1500 +  \frac{1}{120}  \times 300 \times 300 \\  \\  =  > 1500 + 750 \\  \\  =  > 2250m

Thus,

Acceleration is 1/60m/s²

Distance travelled is 2250m.

Hope it helps ☺️
