Motorcycle of mass 2000 kg is moving on a road if this motorcycle has to be stopped with the acceleration of 1.5 metre per second square then what is the force of friction between the tyres and the road ??

by Newton's Second Law we know that

F = ma

m = 2000kg

a = -1.5m/s^2 since we have to stop the motorcycle and do there will be retardation in the motorcycle

F = (2000)(-1.5)

= - 3000 N

here minus signs tells us that force will be in the opposite direction to the direction of motion of the motorcycle
