Answer:

5.3333... m/s

Explanation:

the formula for average speed is d1+d2/t1+t2

therefore, 32+32/8+4

=> 64/12 = 5.333m/s

I hope this clarifies it

To Find :

  • Average speed = ?

Formula Used :

{\red{\bigstar \:  \: {\orange{\underbrace{\underline{\overbrace{\overline{\mathfrak{Average \:  Speed = \frac{total \: distance \: covered}{total \: time \: taken} }}}}}}}}}

Solution :

Here,

First case :-

Distance = 32m

Time = 8s

Second Case :

Distance = 32m

Time = 4s

Now,

{\mapsto{\bf{Average \:  Speed = \frac{total \: distance \: covered}{total \: time \: taken} }}}

{\leadsto{\sf{Average  \: Speed = \frac{32 + 32}{8 + 4}  }}}

{\leadsto{\sf{Average  \: Speed = {\cancel\frac{64}{12}  }}}}

{\large{\green{:{\rightarrow{\underline{\boxed{\bf{5.33 m/s}}}}}}}}</u></p><p><u>[tex]{\large{\green{:{\rightarrow{\underline{\boxed{\bf{5.33 m/s}}}}}}}}

So,

{\red{\underline{\purple{\underline{\boxed{\red{\bf{Average\:Speed = 5.33m/s}}}}}}}}
