(1) Marks given for correct answer = 9*4 = 36

Marks given for incorrect answer = 6*(-2) = -12

Gurpreet's Total score = 36+(-12)

= 36-12

= 24

(ii) Marks given for correct answer = 5*4 = 20

Marks given for incorrect answer = 10*(-2) = -20

Her friend's total score = 20+(-20)

= 20-20

= 0
