Mr.A sells a bicycle to Mr.B at a profit of 20% and Mr.B sellsit to Mr.c at a profit of 25% if Mr.c pays ₹1500,what did Mr.A pay for it

Well if cp of bicycle is x then A sells it at 20% profit i.e (1+20/100)*x but since B Sells it to C for profit 25% then equation is (1+25/100*(1+20/100*x))
=125/100*(120/100*x)
=5/4*(12/10*x)=1500
X=1000
