The CP is 125 for C, when CP for B is 100. So, CP is 1500 for C, when CP for B = 100*1500/125 = Rs 1200 Similarly The CP is 120 for B, when CP for A is 100. So, CP is 1200 for B, when CP for A = 100*1200/12 = Rs 1000 Therefore CP for A = Rs 1000.

Solutions :-

Given :
Mr.A sells a bicycle to Mr.B at a profit of 20%.
Mr.B sells it to Mr.C at a profit of 25%.
Mr.C pays Rs 1500.

Let the cost price of bicycle for Mr.A be x

Find the Selling price :-

S.P = C.P + Profit % of C.P
= x + 20% of x
= x + 0.2x
= 1.2x

Cost Price of bicycle for Mr.B = 1.2x

Find the Selling price of bicycle for Mr.B :-

S.P = C.P + Profit % of C.P
= 1.2x + 25% of 1.2x
= 1.2x + 0.3x
= 1.5x

Find the cost price of bicycle for Mr.A :-

1.5x = 1500
x = 1500/1.5 = 1000

Hence,
Mr.A pays Rs 1000 for the bicycle.
