To Find:-

• Find the fathers age.

Solution:-

• Let the sons age be ' x '

• Fathers age is ' x + 24 '

According to the Question:-

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ (x + 24) + 2 = 3( x + 2 )$

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ x + 26 = 3x + 6$

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ 3x - x = 26 - 6$

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ 2x = 20$

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ x = \cancel\dfrac { 20 } { 2 }$

$\sf \dashrightarrow \ x = 10$

Hence ,

• Sons age is 10 years

• Fathers age is x + 24 = 34
