 Mr. Ajay while going from Delhi to Chandigarh covered half the distance by train at a speed of 96 km/h, then he covered half of the rest of the distance by his car at a speed of 60 km/h. If he covered the remaining distance at a speed of 40 km/h by scooter, then what would be the average speed of ajay for the full completed journey?

take L.c.m 60,40,96 is 480

assume 480 as a total distance

traveled by train,time= 240/96=2.5hours

traveled by car, time=120/60=2 hours

traveled by scooter, time=120/40=3 hours

avg.speed=total distance /total time=480/7.5=64 km/h
