Answer:

Probability = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

There are total 9 members in the family.

7 children + Mr. Gulati + Mrs. Gulati. = 9

As the sex ratio is female:male = 1:2

Total number of male in the family = X

∴ Female in the family = 2X

∴ X + 2X = 9

∴ X = 3

One male and one female in the family are Mr. and Mrs. Gulati.

∴ Male children = 3 - 1 = 2

Female children = 6 - 1 = 5

From above, the sex of the children is 2 male and 5 female.

This prooves that, same sex children are not possible for given children.

∴ Probability that all the children are of same sex is zero.
