Mr Arun earns rs.9500 per month and his wife earns rs.8000. Find the ratio of,

ANSWER :

Income of Mr Arun per month = Rs.9500

Income of Mr Arun's wife per month = Rs.8000

Total income of Mr Arun and his wife = Rs.9500 + Rs.8000

Now,

So,

= \frac{9500}{8000}

8000

9500

= \frac{19}{16}

16

19

= 19:16

(b) Ratio of wife's income to total income

= \frac{8000}{17500}

17500

8000

= \frac{16}{35}

35

16

= 16:35

Hence,

Ratio of Mr Arun's income to his wife's income is 19:16

and

Ratio of wife's income to total income is 16:35
