Answer:

simple interest = Rs. 1441.125

Total amount to be return will be Rs. 6016.125

Step-by-step explanation:

principal = Rs. 4575

rate %m = 21%

time duration = 1 july 1995 to 31 december 1996 = 12+ 6 months = 18 months

= 1.5 years

first we have to find the simple interest

S.I = \frac{p\times r\times t}{100}S.I=

100

p×r×t

putting the values from above

we get

S.I = \frac{4575\times 21\times 1.5}{100}S.I=

100

4575×21×1.5

S.I = \frac{144112.5}{100}S.I=

100

144112.5

S.I = 1441.125

now

amount = S.I + principal

amount = 1441.125 +4575

amount = Rs. 6016.125

hence ,

simple interest = Rs. 1441.125

Total amount to be return will be Rs. 6016.125
