500 rs notes = 24 - x

according to question

100x + 500 ( 24 - x ) = 6000

100x + 12000 - 500 x = 6000

-400x + 12000 = 6000

-400x = 6000 - 12000

-400x = -6000

× = 6000/ 400

x = 15

100 rs notes = 15

500 rs notes = ( 24- 15) = 9
