Hey mate your answer is option (3)Serena and Aaron

Because, of them choose the integer -5 where Makyla chooses -7 and Dontae  chooses -6. So, Aaron and Serena chooses the same integer.

Correct answer is Serena and Aaron (option c)

Explanation:

  • Number represented by Makayla on integer scale is the average of -6 and -8 i.e., -7.
  • Number represented by Aaron on integer scale is -5. The mid point between 0 and -6 is -3. Hence between midpoint and a point two integers exist. Hence -4 and -5 exist between -3 and -6. Here the point marked is closer to -6. Hence the point marked is -5.
  • Number represented by Serena on integer scale is -5. Numbers that exist between -4 and -8 are -5, -6 and -7. -6 is the midpoint of -4 and -8. The point marked is between midpoint and -4 i.e., between -6 and -4. Hence the number is -5.
  • Number represented by Dontae on integer scale is -6. The point marked is midpoint of -4 and -8 i.e., -6.
  • Hence Aaron and Serena marked the same point i.e., -5.
