Mr. Daniels is organizing a class trip on a budget of $900. The bus rental costs $600. Mr. Daniels will also buy tickets that cost $9.50 per student. Write an inequality to represent the number of students, y, that Mr. Daniels can bring on the trip.

Given no. of students be "y"

Cost of 1 ticket = $ 9.50

Therefore, Total cost of tickets = $ 9.50y

Bus rent = $ 600

Hence, Total cost = $ 600 + $ 9.50y

Now, he want budget to be $ 900

Hence,

$ 600 + $ 9.50y = $ 900

$ 9.50y = $ 900 - $ 600

$ 9.50y = $ 300

y = 300/9.50

y = 31.57...

y = 31 (approx.)

Therefore, Mr. Daniel can bring maximum 31 students on trip.
