Let present age of Son be x years

So, present age of Mr. Doshi be 2x years

After 10 years »

Son's age = (x + 10) years

Mr. Doshi's age = (2x + 10) years

According to Question,

(2x + 10) / (x + 10) = 5 / 3

⇒ 3(2x + 10) = 5(x + 10)

⇒ 6x + 30 = 5x + 50

⇒ 6x - 5x = 50 - 30

⇒ x = 20

As, Son's present age is x years

Hence, Son's present age is 20 years
