I litre = 1000 ml

Amount ms duval eats = 1/8 x 1000

                              = 1 x 125

                              = 125ml

Amount her child eats = 3/5

                                       = 3/5 x 1000

                                       = 3000/5

                                       = 600 ml

Ice cream left = 1000 - 125 + 600

                        = 1000 - 725

                        = 275ml
