How have you been doing? Hope you are enjoying your job.
Do you remember my friend Maggie? I happened to visit her and her family at her home last week. I was shocked to see their miserable life. Her mother is bedridden and cannot do anything by herself. Maggie works really hard to make both ends meet. What she earns is hardly enough for her mother’s medicines. She does not have any savings at the end of the month. She has to take frequent breaks in between her job to come and check on her mother.
The only hope for them is that Maggie’s brother will get back soon and this will bring them some relief to their problems. Unfortunately, they do not know that he is no more. I too am at a loss how to tell them the truth.
Can you please tell me how I can help them? I would like to do something for them before I leave the country. Visiting their home just once has made me quite distressed.
