Mr Gupta had given a towel set.On using that,he found it did not soak water. What could have been the reason?

The reason for the towel set for not soaking water is that they are not made up of pure cotton. They are made of synthetic yarn that does not soak water. Cotton is a natural fiber and hence, it is soft and absorbs water completely. On the other hand, other yarns such as nylon, rayon, polyester etc do not absorb water due to the chemical composition of the yarn. So, Mr. Gupta should understand that the shopkeeper who gave the towel set was not honest enough to tell the drawbacks of the towel set and suggesting the best material for buying towels.
