Mr.hameed sells carpets. For a circular type of carpet,he charges ₹250 per sq.m. If Ranjit wants to buy a circular carpet of radius 1.4m. Find how much will it cost to him?

Solution:-

Here it is given that he charges ₹250 per square metre. So we will have to find the area of the carpet and multiply it with 250 to find the cost of the carpet.

• Radius of carpet = 1.4m

• Area of carpet = 6.16m²

$\: \: \: \: \: \to\large\sf\pi {r}^{2}$

$\: \: \: \: \: \to\frac{22}{7} \times 1.4 \times 1.4$

$\: \: \: \: \: \to \frac{22} {\cancel{7} } \times {\cancel{1.4} } \: {}^{0.2} \times 1.4$

$\: \: \: \: \: \to \sf22 \times 0.2 \times 1.4 = 6 .16 {m}^{2}$

Cost of the carpet = Rs (250 × 6.16)

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= ₹ 1540

Hence, The carpet will cost him ₹ 1540.
