his son got money = X/3
his daughter get money = X/5
his wife get money = 42000
now by adding all we get
X = X/3+X/5+42000
X-X/3-X/5 = 42000
now by taking LCM of 3&5 we get 15
now by solving
(15X-5X-3X)/15=42000
7X = 42000*15
X = (42000*15)/7
X= 6000*15
X= 90000
so total money = 90000
