Let the age of Mr. Joshi's son be x and then age of Mr. Joshi equals to 4x.

Equation

4x-x=30

3x=30

x=10

Hence, age of Mr. Joshi's son is 10 years and that of Mr. Joshi is 4x i.e. 4×10 = 40 years
