Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. of pots he makes per day = x

Production cost of each pot is = Rs (40+10x)

cost of all pots per day =600

According to problem ;

Total cost = no. of pots × production cost each pot.

600=x(40+10x)

600=40+10x

∴ No. of pots he makes per day = 6

Cost of each pot is = Rs(40+60)=100Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Let he makes x pots every day

production value of pot = (10x+40).

As per given equation,

∴ x(10x+40) = 600

∴ 10x² + 40x - 600 = 0

∴ x² + 4x -60 = 0

∴ x² + 10x -6x -60 = 0

∴ x(x+10) -6 (x+10) = 0

∴ (x+10) (x-6) = 0

∴ x+10 = 0 or x-6 = 0

∴ x = -10 or x = 6

x is not equal to -10 because natural number can't be negative.

∴ x = 6

∴ 10x + 40

∴ 10 × 6 + 40

∴ 60 + 40

∴ 100

He makes 6 pots per day and the production value of one pot is 100 rupees.
