Given :

Mr khanna bought 6kg of rice for a month.

To Find:

how much rice is left at the end of the month of the family consumes 4kg 540g rice in the month

Solution:

Mr. Khanna bought amount of rice for month = 6 kg

The family consumes amount of rice for month = 4 kg 540 g

1000 grams = 1 kg

1 g = 0.001 kg

540 g = 0.001 \times 540 =0.54 kg

The family consumes amount of rice for month =4 kg + 0.54 kg = 4.54 kg

Amount of rice left = 6 kg - 4.54 kg =1.46 kg

Hence 1.46 kg of rice is left at the end of the month
