mr.knowles had a sum of money. he kept 3 by 1 of it and divided the among his 4 children. what fraction of the sum of money did each of his children receive?

i did not get the question but as according to me i guess the answer is 1/12

mr. knowles took 1/3 of the sum of money. so 2/3 money remains. It has two be divided among 4 sons. The answer is 2/12 which is 1/6.
