Given : Mr Malik invested ₹ 6000 in his business after 3 years he received ₹ 27000 from the business he invested his gains in a fixed deposit and in shares in ratio 5:2

To  find : how much amount did he invest  in each of the schemes

Solution:

invested ₹ 6000 in his business

received ₹ 27000 from the business

Profit / gain = 27000 - 6000 = 21000 Rs

invested his gains in a fixed deposit and in shares in ratio 5:2

Fixed deposit  = (5/(5 + 2) ) * 21000

= (5/ 7) * 21000

= 5 * 3000

= 15000 Rs

Shares  = (2/(5 + 2) ) * 21000

= (2/ 7) * 21000

= 2 * 3000

= 6000 Rs

Amount invested in Fixed deposit = Rs 15000

Amount invested in shares  = Rs 6000
