GIVEN :-

  • Mr.Mark left 300,000 to share among 3 sons.
  • 1st son gets 20,000 more than 2nd son.
  • 2nd son gets 20,000 more than 3rd son.

TO FIND :-

  • Money each son recieves.

SOLUTION :-

Let us consider , 3rd son gets 'x' amount of money.

2nd son gets 20,000 more than 3rd son.

So, 2nd son will have 'x+20000' amount.

Also , 1st son gets 20,000 more than 2nd son.

So, 1st son gets 'x+20000+20000' amount.

And the total amount is 300,000.

→ (x) + (x + 20000) + (x + 20000 + 20000) = 300000

→ x + x + 20000 + x + 40000 = 300000

→ 3x + 60000 = 300000

→ 3x = 300000 - 60000

→ 3x = 240000

→ x = 240000/3

x = 80,000

Hence , Amounts of each son is as follows :-

♦ 1st son → x + 20000 + 20000

ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ→ 80000 + 20000 + 20000

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ → 120,000

♦ 2nd son → x + 20000

ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ → 80000 + 20000

ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ→ 100,000

♦ 3rd son → x

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ→ 80,000

Hence , 1st son gets 120,000 . 2nd son gets 100,000 . 3rd son gets 80,000.
