Find - Donated money

Solution - Firstly calculating share of each individual.

Daughter's share = $60000 \times 20\%$

Daughter's share = $60000 \times \frac{20}{100}$

Daughter's share = 600*20

Daughter's share = 12000

Son's share = $60000 \times 35\%$

Son's share = $60000 \times \frac{35}{100}$

Son's share = 600*35

Son's share = 21000

Wife's share = $60000 \times 30\%$

Wife's share = $60000 \times \frac{ 30}{100}$

Wife's share = 18000

Family's share = 12000 + 21000 + 18000

Family's share = 51000

Donated amount = total amount - family's share

Donated amount = 60000 - 51000

Donated amount = Rupees 9000

Hence, amount donated to charitable trust is Rupees 9000.
