Answer: length = 240m , breadth = 100 m

Step-by-step explanation:

total cost = Rs 68,000

given rate of fencing = Rs 100 per m

therefore lenght of total fence = 68,000/100

= 680m = perimeter of plot ( since the fence is built around the perimeter)

given, ratio of lenth to breadth = 12:5

=> let length be 12x and breadth be 5x

=> Perimetre = 2x(12x+5x) = 34x

also 680= perimeter

therefore 680=34x

that is x = 20

hence length = 12x = 12x20 = 240 m

breadth = 5x = 5x20 = 100 m

Answer:l=240m&b=100m

Step-by-step explanation:

Total cost=Rs 68000

Rate to fence the plot=Rs100/m

Therefore , total area of plot=68000/100=680m^2

Also given that (l/b)=(12/5)

Now area of field= it's perimeter=2(l+b)

680=2(12x+5x)

Or, (680)/34=x

Or,x=20

Therefore l=12x=12×20=240m

And b=5l=5×20=100m
