Mr.Parag Bhai has a square plot with the
measurement as shown in the figure. He
wants to construct a house in the middle
of the plot. A garden is developed
around the house. Find the area of the
garden.

As per the given data, first we need to find the whole area and then subtract the area occupied by the house.

Area of the square plot =25 m×25 m=625 m

Now, total area = area occupied by the house = Area of rectangle with length 20 m and breadth 15 m.

∴ Area of the house =20 m×15 m=300 m

Then, area occupied by the garden = Total area − area of the house =625−300=325 m
