Mr. Parker wants to draw a floor plan of his office, which measures 15 feet wide by 17.5 feet long. He is using the scale 1 2 inch = 3 feet to draw his floor plan. What will be the width of his office on the floor plan?

Given

Width=15 feet

Length =17.5 feet

Now (Mr.Parkar is using a scale)

So

1/2 inch=3 feet

Now

Width of the office

= 3 feet =1/2inch

So

1 feet =1/2×13

= 1/6inch

15 feet=15/6=2.5inches

Hence ans Is 2.5
