Answer:

fruits bought by the customer :-

bananas = 5.25 kg

grapes = 3.75 kg

cost of 1kg banana = 25 p

cost of 5.25 bananas = 25×5.25

= 131.25 p

cost of 1kg grapes = 180p

cost of 3.75 kg grapes = 180×3.75

= 675p

total cost = 131.25+675

= 806.25 p

Given: Banana costs 25 pesos per kilogram.

           Grapes costs 180 pesos per kilogram.

         A customer bought 5.25 kilos of bananas and 3.75 kilograms of grapes.

To find: The amount of money the customer will pay

Solution:

1 kilogram of bananas cost = 25 pesos.

Then, 5.25 kilograms of bananas cost = 25 × 5.25 pesos

                                                                = 131.25 pesos.

1 kilogram of grapes cost = 180 pesos.

Then, 3.75 kilograms of grapes cost = 180 × 3.75 pesos

                                                             = 675 pesos.

Therefore, the total amount of money the customer will pay

= (131.25 + 675) pesos

= 806.25 pesos.

The customer will pay 806.25 pesos.
