Given :-

  • Mr. Rathor invested (2/3) of his money at = 6% S.I.
  • Remaining portion at = (11/2)% S.I.
  • Total investment = Rs.45,000 .

To Find :-

  • How much did he earn after 3 years ?

Solution :-

Case 1) :-

  • Principal = (2/3) of 45000 = Rs.30000
  • Rate = 6% .
  • Time = 3 years.

we know that,

  • SI = (P * R * T)/100

putting values we get,

→ SI = (30000 * 6 * 3)/100

→ SI = Rs.5400.

Case 2) :-

  • Principal = (1/3) of 45000 = Rs.15000
  • Rate = (11/2)% .
  • Time = 3 years.

so,

→ SI = (15000 * 11 * 3)/(100 * 2)

→ SI = Rs.2475 .

therefore,

→ Mr. Rathor earn from both investment = 5400 + 2475 = Rs.7875 (Ans.)
