The total amount paid by him for the shoes is "Rs. 502.9".

Step-by-step explanation:

Given by question,

Cost of shoe = Rs. 470 and Sale tax = 7%

To find, the total amount paid by him for the shoes =?

Amount of sale tax =\dfrac{7}{100} \times 470

= Rs. \dfrac{329}{10}

= Rs. 32.9

∴ The total amount paid by him for the shoes = Rs. 470 + Rs. 32.9

= Rs. 502.9

Hence, the total amount paid by him for the shoes is Rs. 502.9.
