If he bought 4 for 100 then he bought 1 CD for 25 rupees.And if he sold it for 110 rupees for 4,then he sold one CD for 27.5 rupees.
So he gained 27.5 - 25 = 2.5 for one CD
We need to calculate the CD's he sold for a gain of 245.Now let rupees be r.
So,
2.5r = 1cd
1r = 1cd/2.5
245r = (1cd/2.5)×245
245r = 245cd/2.5
245 = 98cd's
Therefore he sold 98 CD's to get a gain of rupees 245.
