Step-by-step explanation:

% increase = Increase ÷ Original Number × 100.

1 litre petrol price ( before increment ) = ₹90

1 litre petrol price ( after increment ) = ₹100

Mr. Roy needs 3 litres of Petrol everyday for his scooter

Price of 3 litres of petrol before increment = 90 × 3 = ₹270

Price of 3 litres of petrol after increment = 100 × 3 =

₹300

Hence percentage of increment in his daily expenses for petrol is = 300 - 270 / 270 × 100

=> 30/270 × 100

=> 1/90 × 100

=> 100/90

=> 10/9

=> 1.12% of increment
