Solution :-
Let us assume that, the reservation charges is Rs. x and full fare of one ticket is Rs . y .
Since, . Mr. Saini has not taken a half ticket for his child , He paid full fare for both tickets .
So,
→ Mr. Saini ticket + Mrs. Saini ticket = Rs. 1450
→ (x + y) + (x + y) = 1450
→ 2(x + y) = 1450
→ x + y = 725 ------ Eqn.(1)
and,
→ Mr. Gulati ticket + Mrs. Gulati ticket + Half ticket for his child = Rs.1875
→ (x + y) + (x + y) + (x + y/2) = 1875
→ 2(x + y) + (2x + y)/2 = 1875
→ (4x + 4y + 2x + y)/2 = 1875
→ 6x + 5y = 3750 -------- Eqn.(2)
Multiply Eqn.(1) by 5 and subtracting from Eqn.(2) we get,
→ (6x + 5y) - 5(x + y) = 3750 - 5 * 725
→ 6x - 5x + 5y - 5y = 3750 - 3625
→ x = Rs. 125
putting value of x in Eqn.(1),
→ 125 + y = 725
→ y = 725 - 125
→ y = Rs. 600
Therefore, the full fare of one ticket is Rs.600 and the reservation charge is Rs.125 .
